Nepoose's defence team says his sentence shouldn't exceed nine years, including credit for time served.A victim statement from the girl's father read in court today says that Nepoose took one of the "greatest things life has to offer."This report by ¹ú²úÓÕ»ó¸£Àû was first published June 26, 2026. ¹ú²úÓÕ»ó¸£Àû SMS Email Print Copy article link Save Tags Bc Justice More Prairies & BC Stories Alberta premier Danielle Smith calls for new arena in Calgary Michelin Guide lands in Vancouver with eight stars for eight eateries +2 Nurses being punched, grabbed, kicked will benefit from anti-violence program: union New storm approaches B.C., as province cleans up after first powerful fall tempest New Alberta cabinet could threaten environmental protections for parks, group says House fire in northern Manitoba leaves four children dead, RCMP say Fatal shooting by Winnipeg police was in response to armed threat: inquest report Nature Conservancy announces campaign to save landscape in southern Alberta 'Kill Satan': Trial hears Alberta man not criminally responsible for mother's death Appeal filed against Alberta Review Board ruling that Matthew de Grood still a risk You might be interested in +5 ‘This is nuts’: The hard-fought race to build Canada’s next submarine fleet +2 Suspect fought with neighbour about shed before 2 Saskatchewan Mounties shot: witness +2 Justin Trudeau's youngest son joins 'Son of a Critch' as an extra Former child actor Daveigh Chase, 'The Ring' villain and Lilo voice, dies at 35 ¹ú²úÓÕ»ó¸£Àû +2 For credit unions, reconciliation is a true partnership For many Indigenous communities, access to financial services and economic opportu… Sending money abroad?
