Algoma Steel Group Inc. will report its fourth-quarter and full-year results after markets close on Wednesday. The federal and Ontario governments have provided Algoma with $500 million in financing to help support the company deal with U.S. President Donald Trump's steel tariffs.
Empire results
Empire Co. Ltd. will report its third-quarter results on Thursday before markets open. The results from the parent company of Sobeys follow results from rivals Loblaw Cos. Ltd. and Metro Inc. which have both been growing their discount banners in a bid to attract shoppers.

Statistics Canada will release its reading for international merchandise trade for January on Thursday. Canada's merchandise trade deficit with the world was $1.3 billion in December as exports increased 2.6 per cent and imports rose 0.6 per cent.
Jobs report
Statistics Canada will release its labour force survey for February on Friday.
 The Canadian economy lost 25,000 jobs in January while the unemployment rate fell by 0.3 percentage points to 6.5 per cent, as fewer people searched for work.
