A blender from the 1960s, a restored 1936 piano. What I learned from clearing out my childhood home

In this photo provided by D'Innocenzio Family Collection, Anne D'Innocenzio, third from left, her late parents Michael and Marie D'Innocenzio and her late brother Robert pose in the back of the family's childhood home in the late 1970s, in suburban New Jersey. D'Innocenzio said, "After mom's passing in February 2023, my sister and I quickly made a plan to honor her wishes: what to keep, which items to give to relatives and friends, which to donate and what to discard."
