S&P/TSX composite down nearly 200 points, U.S. stock markets also fall

TORONTO - Canada's main stock index was down almost 100 points Friday, as industrials, base metals and telecom led the way lower, while U.S. markets were up, recovering losses from earlier in the day.聽

The S&P/TSX composite index closed down 91.75 points at 24,968.49.
