THE CANADIAN PRESS/Jason Franson JF SMS Email Print Copy article link Save Police in Nova Scotia say someone damaged safety infrastructure at railway crossings three times this month in apparent attempts to steal copper wire.RCMP say equipment was damaged three times in two weeks at railway crossings in Pictou County, a region about 120 kilometres northeast of Halifax.A police news release says the damage appeared to be done deliberately by someone trying to steal copper from the infrastructure's electrical systems.A spokesperson said police are not providing specific details about the equipment that was damaged because they don't want to encourage more thefts.
