MONTREAL - Quebec's real estate board says Montreal-area home sales rose 11 per cent in September from a year earlier.

The Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers says there were 3,520 total sales in the month in the Montreal census metropolitan area, up from 3,176 in the month last year.
