Mark Carney touts new construction at Quebec mine after fast-tracking major project

SAINT-MICHEL-DES-SAINTS, QUE. - Prime Minister Mark Carney is touting the start of construction at a Quebec graphite mine that is slated to become the largest of its kind in North America, once completed.

The Nouveau Monde Graphite’s Matawinie mine in Quebec’s Lanaudière region is expected to produce 106,000 tonnes of graphite annually.
