Halifax neighbourhood evacuation ends after unstable crane repaired overnight

HALIFAX - Residents of a Halifax neighbourhood have been cleared to return home after concerns over the stability of a construction crane led to an evacuation Thursday night.

Shortly after 5 p.m. emergency officials were called to assess the crane at 3644 Dutch Village Road in the Fairview neighbourhood.
