A collaboration between the Indigenous Fire Safety Council, Firefighters Without Borders and fire safety company Kidde is expanding to bring hundreds of fire alarms to three First Nations communities in the Maritimes. Kidde is donating 2,300 fire alarms to be shared between Sitansisk First Nation and Bilijik First Nation, both in New Brunswick. Some 200 sensors will be sent to Millbrook First Nation in Nova Scotia. (June 23, 2026)
