B.C. children's representative says drug crisis having staggering impact on kids

The toxic drug crisis that has killed thousands of people in British Columbia has had a 鈥渟taggeringly high鈥 impact on the youngest in the province, not only killing hundreds but leaving many more as orphans, the province's representative for children and youth says.聽

Coroner鈥檚 data shows that in the 10 years since British Columbia declared a public health emergency, 232 people, aged 18 and younger have died from overdoses.
