S&P/TSX composite down about 40 points, U.S. markets also in negative territory

TORONTO - Canada鈥檚 main stock index saw slight gains Monday, while U.S. markets edged lower following the latest rise in tensions between the United States and Iran. 聽聽

The S&P 500 slipped 0.2 per cent from its all-time high for just its second drop in 14 days after the United States seized an Iranian-flagged cargo vessel that it said had tried to evade its blockade of Iranian ports. 聽聽聽
